Biography

The 17 brass players and 3 drummers which make up the Vienna Brass Collection under the leadership of Johannes Kafka are professional musicians playing in various top orchestras like the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra Cologne and others. Their versatility and their interest in music are boundless. Together they are a band which gives you the creeps.
Besides numerous performances at concerts and events across Austria (Vienna, Linz, Grafenegg) the Vienna Brass Connection takes part in international Festivals all over Europe (Cuivres en Dombes in Villars-les-Dombes, France, Brass Festival Merano, Italy, Classic in the Cathedral, Linz and the Bruckner Festival St. Florian, Upper Austria).
